Child - protection policy

Learners are the center of education and education would be meaningless if it cannot protect its primary stakeholders. Hence, the Department of Education implemented the Child-Protection Policy as it is under the Republic Act No. 7610, “The Special Protection for a Child against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”

Part of this policy is to form a special committee for the protection of the children. The committee is a body in-charged with monitoring the implementation of Republic Act No. 7610.

In line with this, Villamor Air Base Elementary School has adopted the policy and arranged a committee composed of the school head, guidance teacher, teachers, representative form the general parents and teachers association, representative from the supreme pupil government and representative from the community / barangay. The said committee is hereby attached.

It is rare that children’s voices are heard. Children have much to learn, much to be taught, but they are not empty vessels, and they also have much to give.  Learners’ voices deserve to be listened to and that they can make a significant contribution to creating a vibrant school community of learners.
